On June 15, more than 80 students and faculty members from the Institute of Environment and Resources of Fuzhou University, majoring in safety engineering and environmental engineering, visited Fuzhou Tianying Waste-to-Energy Power Plant. Led by Wu Honglin, General Manager of Fuzhou Tianying, the students and teachers visited the central control room, steam engine room, waste crane control room and sewage treatment station of the plant. The interactive exchange during the tour deepened the students' understanding of municipal waste treatment and incineration power generation process and project operation, overturning their previous perception of waste treatment as "dirty, messy and smelly". The students and teachers spoke highly of the clean working environment and smooth production and operation of the FuzhouWTE Plant.
The representatives of the institute expressed that Fuzhou Tianying WTE Plant is one of the internship bases of the Institute of Environment and Resources of Fuzhou University, and hoped that the two sides could work together on scientific and technological projects in the future, and have deeper exchanges and cooperation in the transfer of scientific research results and student employment. Wu Honglin said that Fuzhou Tianying WTE Plant has been focusing on improving its operation level, increasing investment in environmental protection and creating a garden-style waste incineration power plant, and will actively promote in-depth cooperation with the Institute of Environment and Resources of Fuzhou University in related technology and talents in the future.
