On February 22nd 2019, China Tianying signed an EPC contract for its 4000 t/d Hanoi WTE project with China First Metallurgical Group. YAN Shengjun, Chairman of CNTY, and SONG Zhanjiang, Party Secretary and President of China First Metallurgical Group attended the signing ceremony.
The Hanoi project ranks number two in the world in capacity and is an important infrastructure project in Vietnam. China First Metallurgical Group and Jiangsu Tianying Environmental Protection Energy Equipment Co., Ltd signed the RMB 1,972 million EPC contract as a consortium. The former will be responsible for the design and construction of the main plant building, weigh bridge, waste water treatment center and booster station as well as the administration building and staff dorm building. When completed, the plant will largely improve the sanitary condition of Hanoi and set up an example for green and sustainable development of the city.
Mr. Song of China First Metallurgical Group notes that as a state-owned enterprise, they will build this plant to be a demonstration project for the Belt and Road Initiative in Vietnam and a model project for Chinese environmental protection companies going global.
